Secrets. That's what his whole life was made up of. Secrets, Rumors, and Lies. Though that was not who he was...and yet, wasn't it? If a past tells all about the character, then wasn't it? If a past is what makes you who you are, is that what he was? Secrets Rumors And Lies? He didn't believe so, but if he wasn't then why does he not share of his past? Well, that is a secret. And that is exactly what I'm saying. Secrets Rumors and Lies, are what fills his past. He is true to his heart, but is he true to himself? Is he true to others? Well the hard truth is...Is he true at all? Well, you couldn't call him truthful. He tries to be, but how can you be if your whole life is wound around lies? How can you ever be free, if you're that one piece of hay in a whole hay bale wrapped in twine? You can't. Or at least that's what he told himself...
Now, who is he? He couldn't truthfully answer that if you asked. I mean, he could tell of his name Elusive Embers But he couldn't tell you who he is, because he himself does not know. And if he told you of what he did know-wait, he couldn't. He is bound. And he can tell no one...
Rumors Secrets Lies Their all the same, none harsher then the next. Yet all bitter. And do if that was what made up Ember, didn't that make him bitter and evil? Well he didn't believe so, and so he stayed close and strong to the only thing that he thought to be true and solid; His pure heart...
Yes, he was a pureblood, but he was unique and all his own...and so he was what he wanted to be...but what was that? He didn't purely know, but one thing he was sure of, was that he was somehow supposed to be here; in this place...because each new step he took through here; he felt the fire deep inside of him grow stronger, and stronger...the feeling was beyond belief, and he knew that t'was fate he was here...in this vast land...
Life blossomed around, and it entranced him...simply entranced him...And so as the relit fire burning deep in his soul flickered he rose up into a rear and let out a strong sound...One so particular that none could deny it, filled with strength, love, power, and something beyond the stars...
T'was a Claiming Call...
And so As he let gravity take hold of him, he placed his front daggers back upon the soft earth, and bowed his crown, before striding off to discover the wonders his new land held...

Rina slowly nosed the ground outside of the stone circle, her body quivering with anticipation, she had overheard rumors of this place, of its tranquil beauty and binding spell that one may call a curse, if they had the moxie. Her nose took in the sent of the undulating waters beyond the crags and her steps powerfully moved forward. Every step she took, she could hear vibrating off of the surface of the rocks, until, she couldn't feel her footfalls any longer.
'Why now?' she thought as her brain drifted off, sometimes she couldn't control her reveries and ended up in trouble when she came back down from la-la land. And these were one of these times, because suddenly she ran head-first into a quite hard boulder.
'What the hell?' Rina thought, as her neigh of pain was shrieked. 'My stupid, stupid eyes! Why did this happen to me, hmm? I could have been a normal, regular, happy horse. But now I just get to run into nutty boulders! I can't even see where I am now!' She shoved herself off of the dirt and nosed the ground, still fuming. She shook her head to show how disapproving she was of her stupidity. But, then, her nostrils quivered with realization. She was not only on the inside of the Stone Circle, but a stallion had been here a only moments before her entrance! "What luck?" Her foggy muzzle voiced. Slowly she walked to stand beside a stone boulder. The stallion couldn't have gone far could he?

As the fiery masculine strode taking each step with a careful feel, he felt the fiery flames grow inside of him. The made him stronger, more confident. Never before had his power of fire led him to such a length as this and yet here he was, with more power then he knew himself capable of having. His auds pricked as he listened to all the things around him, each and every sound fitting in with the next. Every one except a thump he heard coming from where he had just been.
No animal could have hit such a thing and had such an impact, so it must be an equine. Fiery protection boiled inside of him as he turned on the dime, and started galloping swiftly back to where he had just been. The stone circle. Someone else must be inside the stone circle now, and he must hurry to the foolish intruder. He felt his legs propel him with a great strength, swiftly back. Finally he glimpsed the circle and was about to gallop to the intruder when he caught glimpse of the equine.
He came to an abrupt halt and searched over the mare, she did not look as if she was intruding simply for the purpose, and calmness flowed through Ember. And curiosity entered his bright brown optics. He cautiously strode to a point of about 10 yards from the equine and spoke, his voice curious and calm, yet wary and a bit suspicious.
Greetings, I am Elusive Ember, lead of this terra. Who might you be?
The cool breeze wavered over head fluttering his red hued banners as he watched the equine, waiting for a reply. He honestly did not think she was here for the sake of intruding and stirring up trouble, but if she was not, then why was she here? And more importantly who was she? Well, It’s not like the answer would just dawn upon him, so he waited for her reply patiently…

Rina tossed her head loftily while looking at the stallion. He seemed to have calmed down from his little rampage of galloping purposefully towards her. 'What does think I am? An intruder?' she thought, as she sniffed the air.
Smiling mysteriously -or what she hoped was mysteriously- she responded lightly "I'm Ballerina's Grace, but call me Rina, if you please. I'm terribly sorry for my intrusion upon your terrain. I hope you don't mind much?" She showed just as much suspicion as he. Her tossed her head again as the cool breeze fluttered over-head. She could feel the stallion's hooves moving contemplatively. Her thoughts wandered as questions popped up about the other equine: What was his lineage? Where was his herd?
She stepped towards the other lightly, as he had seemed to go off into a reverie of his own. She got slose enough to feel a bit of his breathing upon her mane. Her smile faltered 'How high is he?!' Her feet pranced as she waited for his reverie to end. Was he thinking about her also?
She neighed loudly, with no meaning but to grab his attention for a moment. Her mane blew in the wind, the wind was picking up. There seemed to be an impending storm, probably large, judging by the fierce winds.

Ember listened to her words and nodded responding calmly
Hello Rina, and I apologize. It is obvious that you are not what I had assumed. You can call me Ember if you wish.
curiosity entered his bright brown optics, and most of the suspision drained out. most was the key word though, he was not foolish enough to trust Rina after only speaking but a couple words, but he was not jumping to conclusions anymore, which had to count for something.
Suddenly his head shot up and his ears flicked back as Rina neighed loudly. His optics flickered back to the conversation, and he nodded an apology. Suddenly his banners were whipped back as a brisk and cool breeze faltered through, and Ember side stepped and ducked a moment to avoid being hit by several branches the breeze had picked up. A storm was coming, and a large one at that. But they still had time before it hit, and so with that out of the way, Ember raised his optics to meet hers and asked calmly
What brings you here Rina?
Suddenly another gust of wind came through, and a few leaves caught in his banners. Ember carelessly shook them out and watched Rina for her reply…

The winds were picking up and the tree limbs were swinging wildly. She kept getting caught in the way of some lone branches being carried by the wind. Her mane was now tangled with leaves and branches. Keeping her head down, Rina tried to respond "I wanted to investigate the stone circle, many say that there is a curse upon it." But her voice was carried off by the wind, if anything could be heard it was but a faint whisper of words unknown.
Suddenly her head came up as her voice strained to nicker: "Lets move somewhere else, I am being bombarded with leaves and branches!" She started off trying to get to another more secluded spot but realized that she couldn't not move anywhere in this massive commotion, especially with her seeing being as it is. Smiling ruefully, she sighed sadly and turned around to catch Ember's eye "Can you lead me to a better spot?"
Hoping he wouldn't ask why, she stood there, the wind whipping her hair, and tangling it into an even greater mass of skein. Rina side stepped a moment to avoid several branches the breeze had picked up

As the wind picked up, Ember pricked his auds to catch Rina’s words and nodded calmly, just catching her words. Ember was about to reply, when suddenly he realized that it would be useless, for she would not be able to hear him. Instead he caught her eye and nodded, to show that he had heard her, before the wind had picked up. But suddenly his attention was drawn to a tree that was swaying dangerously close. Suddenly words entered his auds and Ember whipped his head back to Rina, as he tried to catch her words. He couldn’t hear them clearly, but they probably had something to do with moving elsewhere, because she started off trying to find somewhere else. Though, finally she seemed to give up, and as she turned back, Ember made a extra careful effort to hear her words this time.
Of Course. Follow me.,
Ember said strongly, because he was trying to be heard over the commotion, and so he nodded to her, his fiery eyes calm, and sure. As he started walking off, making sure that she was still beside him, the winds howled fiercely, and Ember glanced at rina quickly catching her eye, and nodding to say that they were going to pick up the pace a bit. So Ember started into a smooth, fluid trot, worry edging into his chasms as the storm grew fiercer. Finally the reached the wood, and Ember quickly navigated through trees and swaying branches, and every once in a while checking back to make sure Rina was following. Finally they were nearing, and ‘twas a good thing as well, because small heavy raindrops started padding down through the branches of the trees, and Ember picked up a medium paced canter.
He navigated swiftly through the trees, and at the same time always made sure that Rina was still there. Finally they reached the destination, and Ember slowed to a fluid, walk. He quickly walked into the cavern, and nodded to Rina to follow him. He navigated through twisting tunnels and after almost twenty minutes he came to a clearing in the cave, and he halted. The cavern was amazing. Gens indented into the walls sparkled gleamingly, and Indian paintings were on the walls, telling of many tales.
Here we are.
Ember said to Rina turning his bright optics back to her, and waiting her reply.

Her ears trained to catch Ember's reply and she turned her body swiftly around to follow Ember's voice. She walked forward trying to keep in step with Ember's large paces. His legs were so much longer than hers that he took much larger steps than herself, causing her to walk, not leisurely, but at a fast pace. Thunder shook the air around her and she realized that Ember had started off into a trot, since his footfalls were becoming a little distant. She moved her pace to a swift trot, and threw her head to the ground trying to navigate her way throughout the flying branches, leaves, and forest.
Following closely she tossed her head in frustration. Her pace was not very fast and she could just barely keep up, and her unseeing made it impossible to know what was coming next. She was furious with herself. Plus, now Ember was going even faster! His canter was swift and fluid, never pausing, so she had to keep up the pace to stay close behind him. She started galloping just to keep up. In return for her pace, she stumbled over a protruding branch, catching her ankle painfully. Starting to trot she followed the vibrations of his fast canter, until she came upon him, almost stopping too late, for she almost ran into his rump.
His pace had slowed and he walked into a cavern, with her form following closely behind. Right before they disappeared into the darkness, she felt a few raindrops plop onto her back. Just in time! Rina thought. It was easier to trace Ember's steps in the cave, as it was only the two of them. She loved the feeling of being in a confined place and was almost hoping with glee for the twenty minutes the two horses jockeyed their way round the intricate pathway, until they came upon a large clearing in the cave.
Ember halted his expedition, as Rina walked around him to sniff the cavern walls cautiously. Rina heard his ending sentence and she pivoted towards Ember until they were face to face. "So, Ember, have you just claimed this land recently? You seem to know your way around." Rina thought aloud. He seemed nice, unlike what she was used to, and she knew then that he was a Pure.

I have resided here a very short time, As I have only just claimed it. Though The reason It may appear I know this land completely, would be only because the essence and indecipherable power that this land holds, guides me through some inexplicable force, beyond my exact knowledge.
Ember responded with a kind smirk, and he shook his fiery tassels to rid of the few rain drops that had fallen quickly enough to land sparsely upon him. He was sure that by now the femme must know that he was a pureblood. Not that it truly mattered, and anyway, even if she was of another blood, she did not show bitterness towards him, so all was bright and calm inside of him. Though, calm may not be the word to describe what lies deep within him, for truly an everlasting fire flickered dangerously, and yet warmly inside his heart. Which proved that he was certianly unique and all his own. Funny thing was that he hadn't really noticed it much until he stepped upon this land. And striding here he felt emotions of something...right, stir deep within. For he knew that somehow, he was meant to be here. Which would clearly describe the unevitable force that drew him here anyway. Though forces of such could be dangerous, and so Ember would always have to be wary of the true power this land contained...
Anyway, I never heard your reply to my previous question of what brings you here Rina, your voice was carried off by the uprising storm.
Ember stated with some inquiry carrying in his tonation. Curiosity shown in his bright coffee orbs, and a soft smile spread across his maw, encouraging her on, as he watched her. Suddenly there was a crack of lightning of which flashed, followed by a loud bang of thunder, Ember stepped back, taken slightly by surprize, before thinking it over and letting a few laughs ring forth from his vocals. Some storm.

Grace nodded thoughtfully, as she smiled. "I understand, for I feel the same powerful magnetism towards these lands as you probably feel. It is quite lovely." Bristling slightly at the feeling of water droplets being dropped onto her body, Rina moved back quickly. She had tensed up involuntarily, and now she urged her body to relax again. Brushing her side up against one of the surrounding walls, Grace knew that this storm would probably last for eternity, or at least a day.
Looking intuitively at Ember, Rina tossed her head loftily, "I wanted to investigate the stone circle, many say that there is a curse upon it." Rina could still sense a bit of reserve set in this stallion. He seemed to still judge her. What a guy.
Hearing the loud crack, Grace shook her head and jumped. She walked a few steps forward and neighed a loud alarm. She didn't quite grasp the concept of thunder while her senses were on full alert, and she couldn't see what was happening outside. Her voice slightly wavering Rina asked quietly, "What was that?"

Ember nodded as she noted the feel of the power as well, the land was incredibly enchanting. A few water droplets dripped down on his head suddenly and with a quick, amused shake of his head, he rid himself of the dew, and he sidestepped to avoid being dropped on again. Watching Rina he suddenly noticed that she was very tense, and ember felt a bit guilty for not making her feel welcome enough, though ‘twas no matter. As Rina seemed to ponder his next question he waited paiently watching, until her answer came forth. With another nod a sincere expression crossed his maw as he spoke in reply
A Curse to some, A Gift to others.
To tell the truth, as I passed through the lands I felt an indescribable feeling of almost questioning. And I know this sounds silly, but it felt as if the land itself was pondering my worthiness of supposedly taking position of lead here. And through those strange indirect inquiries, I felt fear…fear that was not of my own, and yet was mine indeed. For it was some involuntary part of me that strangely feared the outcome. Thankfully though, I seem to have been accepted. Although, there have been some terribly…well…disturbing, or unsettling things you could call them, that I have noticed throughout the short period of time I have explored here…Though it is undeniable, that power rests beneath and intertwined with these lands, I can feel my heartbeat aligning with another beat here…something of power. It connects me to it, and I can only wonder why…
Ember was taken aback a moment as Rina jumped back at the crack of lightning and loud bang of thunder, and at her neigh of alarm he could only watch in surprise at her strange fright. Then she asked with an unsteady voice, What was that? Ember found confusion etch into his mind as she questioned it. For it was only a bit of thunder and lightning. What was to fear? All the same though as his smile faded worry replaced the expression, as he spoke with slight confusion.
Only thunder and a bit of lightning…
Though as the thunder banged again Ember’s heart pounded in sudden fear. For every time the thunder bellowed out it’s banging cry, the earth he stood upon, vibrated violently, and caused his pulse to beat at an abnormal rate. And ember knew then that there was something wrong about this storm. Horribly, Horribly, Wrong.
